1) They were only in it for the money
2) They screwed people over to get it.
Today's economy is based on trust. Your reputation is literally your business. Today there is no where to hide. If you screw people over, your business will be on it's way out.
Here's a few rules that will help you to build success in the internet/ network marketing business:
1) Forget about the money, the money will come. Making money is the byproduct or result of helping others solve a problem.
2) Always deliver what you promised and do it on time.
3) Be authentic. Be yourself.
4) Deliver 10 times more value than the price This is extremely important if this is your first product., it will be your first impression on your new customer.
5) Never make a decision based on money. Do what's right for your customer and not your pocketbook.
6) Always make decisions for the long-term.
7) When you make a mistake (because you will), admit it and apologize. Your customers will forgive you and have more respect for you.
8) Provide the best customer service possible.
9) Say "thank you" sincerely and often.
10) Stick to your guns. Stand up for who you are and what you beliefs. Sticking to your beliefs will help you create true, loyal customers.
11) Never burn a bridge over money. You'll end up at the bottom.
12) Never argue with a customer. Just return their money and a respectful thank you. You have no idea what's going on in their life or the problems they may have.
13) Fire bad customers. If a customer treats you or your team members disrespectful get rid of them. Give them a refund, wish them well, and take them out of your database. They aren't worth it.
14) Stand up for yourself. Most people you come in contact with will become fans, you will also have haters. Engage with your haters in private to find a common ground, sticking to your values
15) Thank your mentors. None of us are able to build or acquire new skills alone. We all need mentors and teachers. The best way to start a relationship with someone you've learned from or looked up too is to let them know what kind of a positive impact they've made on your life.
